Mission 500 announces call for nominations for 2023 corporate social responsibility and humanitarian awards
Miami, FL, Feb. 7, 2023 — Mission 500, a non-profit charitable organization in the security industry, dedicated to serving children and families in need across the U.S., is excited to announce that nominations are open for the 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award and 2023 Humanitarian Award. Award winners will be announced and honored in March at ISC West.
The Mission 500 CSR Award honors a company within the security industry that has made a significant contribution to those in need. The judging criteria includes an assessment of applicants’ CSR programs as they relate to effectiveness in helping the communities they focus on, involvement of company personnel, sustainability, and long-term impact of the programs and activities that go beyond financial contributions. The Humanitarian award recognizes an individual that has volunteered their time and efforts to help move Mission 500’s purpose and efforts in helping children and families in need.
“We have an incredible industry community. One of the most rewarding aspects of being a part of Mission 500 is the recognition of security industry companies and people, who make “giving back” a significant part of what they do and stand for”, said Tracy Larson, Co-Chair of Mission 500. “These awards are always a highlight of ISC West because of the impact the winning company and individual have made, and the inspiration to others they provide.”
Mission 500 is accepting nominations for both the CSR Award and the Humanitarian recipient for 2023. Employees may nominate the company they work for, as well as partner organizations they work with, and their colleagues. A judging panel comprised of Mission 500 Advisory Board Members evaluate applicants according to the criteria and their contributions toward social causes. In 2022, the CSR Award went to Axis Communications for the CSR Award, and Chris Mosley for the Humanitarian Award.
“There are no words that can quite capture the gratitude that we have in our hearts to have helped so many children and families in need in 2022. We couldn't have done that without our amazing sponsors and those individuals that stand above the rest and give of their time and budgets," Janet Fenner, Co-Chair of Mission 500. "The Humanitarian award is the closest thing that represents how truly thankful we are. Choosing that one company or individual as a recipient will be a hard task as we consider everyone who has stepped in to help, a champion.”
