CISA releases physical security performance goals for faith-based communities
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is pleased to announce the release of a new resource, Physical Security Performance Goals for Faith-Based Communities, which was developed as a set of physical security practices that houses of worship and related facilities can use to reduce security risks to their congregations.
The Physical Security Performance Goals establish a baseline set of security practices to help houses of worship plan for, protect against, and respond to threats. Understanding that all facilities are different, the goals allow organizations to identify security vulnerabilities and create tailored, actionable plans that will address their specific needs and serve their community.
This resource is one of many CISA offers to assist places of worship with enhancing their security capacity building, located on a dedicated web presence, which can be found here.
