XV Gateways with AlarmVision technology revolutionize security surveillance and intrusion detection through analytics-enhanced motion detection and seamless integration with XR Series™ alarm panels, allowing for real-time alarm verification.
Using enhanced analytics that differentiate between vehicle, person, and animal, XV Gateways with AlarmVision turn basic cameras into intelligent motion detectors. AlarmVision enables direct communication between the camera and intrusion panel. When selected motion activity is detected in a defined region (i.e., a person in a building lobby after business hours) actions may be triggered (i.e., playing a recorded talk-down message, illuminating lights, etc.) and/or an alarm may be activated.
A distinct advantage of AlarmVision is how it can be used for false alarm reduction as it simultaneously notifies the end user and monitoring center for verification when a defined event occurs. Through video analysis of the event, the subject of the motion is determined before sending the alarm. In recent customer applications, XV Gateways have deterred intruders and reduced or eliminated costly false alarm fees.
In security systems with cameras, one XV Gateway can replace multiple motion detectors and detection beams. AlarmVision instantly integrates cameras with the control panel—when the system is armed, cameras turn into alarm detection devices. Each camera’s field of view may be divided up into four customizable zones, with each zone being used to trigger different actions and alarm conditions.
XV Gateways with AlarmVision allow users to:
• Define where to detect activity within a camera’s field of view
• Specify what activity to detect - person, vehicle and/or animal
• Schedule when detection of that activity should trigger a response
• Create custom video actions, like receiving clips for access control events (granted or denied)
• Stay informed with instant notifications
XV Gateways are conveniently managed through existing software. Dealer Admin™ provides one interface to program cameras, analytics, and panel zones, while Virtual Keypad™ provides users with a single interface to monitor and manage video activity.
