American Science & Engineering (AS&E) is showcasing its Gemini Parcel Inspection Systems (right), the Gemini7555, Gemini100100 and the Gemini 6040. The systems enable end-users to inspect everything from mail, baggage and break-bulk cargo within mailrooms, lobbies, checkpoints, airports, high-threat facilities and other security-sensitive areas. The system combines multiple technologies - the supplier's proprietary ZBackscatter X-ray technology and dual-energy transmission. Operators simultaneously view two images, a Z Backscatter image and a dual-energy image, increasing the likelihood of finding hidden illegal materials.
