America’s youth must now contend with the near-constant threat of mass school shootings, which have escalated drastically in recent years. None recognize this looming threat more intimately than Max Schachter, who lost his son, Alex, in the devastating Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that resulted in 17 deaths.
