LAS VEGAS, Nevada., January 8, 2019 – At CES 2019, Legrand demonstrated a suite of leading connected devices at CES that underscore the company’s continued commitment to developing technologies that are more intuitive, maximize comfort and safety, and provide the best possible user experience with purposeful design.
“Since we launched our IoT program, Eliot, in 2016, it’s never simply been a question of having the most cutting-edge innovation, but more about how the user is experiencing our products. At Legrand we are channeling innovation to provide users with an experience that gives the best possible value and experience,” explained Manny Linhares, Director of IoT Strategy, Legrand North & Central America.
Among the new solutions being showcased on the booth will be new smart lighting from the radiant® Collection. Smart Lighting from the radiant collection offers switches and outlets that combine clean design with advanced functionality.
The new smart switches, dimmers and outlets can be controlled remotely via the Legrand Smart Lights app or within the home through voice-enabled assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home. The app also allows home owners to control lamps, small appliances and whole-home lighting to conveniently schedule lights or appliances to go on and off automatically, group lights, and create scenes to match a routine and control it all from a smart device.
Legrand is also showcasing its continuing strength of over 50 global partnerships with other IoT and Smart Home leaders including Amazon, Google, Ivani. The company’s comprehensive developer program (Works with Legrand) with APIs enables partners to quickly design Legrand interoperability into their smart home solutions.
“The common denominator of these partnerships is the desire to give the user experience the highest priority and to make new innovative experience possible,” added Linhares.
Recognizing the demand for solutions that are simpler to manager, Legrand will also demonstrate how artificial intelligence (AI) ability will enhance the user experience. Through the company’s recent acquisition of Netatmo, Legrand is incorporating AI to move products from automation to autonomous, and deliver a more valuable connected experience in the future.
