Community Security Service announces a 'Memorandum of Understanding' with the Secure Community Network
New York, New York -- March 2022 -- Given the rise in antisemitism and the current threat dynamic facing our community, it is critically important that organizations within the Jewish community work cooperatively to effectively address issues of hate, antisemitism, extremism, and violence as well as threats targeting the Jewish community.
The MoU recognizes CSS as the volunteer security partner of SCN and calls on both organizations to promote each other’s efforts. It outlines the mutual expectations and roles of both parties on coordination as it relates to intelligence & information sharing, delivery of training, and engagement with law enforcement partners related to community safety and security. CSS volunteers and the communities with a CSS presence will benefit greatly from the expertise of SCN and its professionals in federations around the country.
CSS looks forward to this important collaboration with SCN and this agreement is a necessary step to better secure the Jewish community during these times of increased antisemitism, threats, and actual violence. We believe this important MoU will help to combine our respective strengths and lead both organizations to operate at a greater capacity, with natural synergy toward our common purpose.
