Optiv announces new SVP, Partners and Alliances

Optiv today announced the appointment of Scott Goree as its new SVP, Partners and Alliances. In this role, Scott will lead Optiv’s ecosystem of more than 450 technology partners, focused on delivering data-driven, positive business outcomes for 6,000+ clients.

Scott Goree is a veteran technology executive with more than two decades of experience overseeing global partner programs, distribution initiatives and sales. Throughout his career he has spearheaded strategic initiatives, fostered innovation, delivered growth that exceeds corporate goals and has a proven track record of building high-performing teams. As Senior Vice President of Partners and Alliances, Goree leads Optiv’s ecosystem of more than 450 technology partners, focused on delivering data-driven, positive business outcomes for more than 6,000 clients. 
 
Goree joined Optiv from Skyhigh Security, where he served as vice president of global partners and head of Americas sales. As Skyhigh’s first-ever global channel chief, he successfully reinvented the partner program, driving channel-sourced revenue from 12% to over 30% in the first year. He was also instrumental in creating Skyhigh Technology Alliances, establishing new relationships with AWS and CrowdStrike. 
 
Previously, Goree served as senior director of worldwide distribution at Nutanix where he launched the Elevate distribution program, which drove continuous growth and empowered partners and distributors to develop greater autonomy in sales, customer success and renewal processes. 
 
Goree graduated from the University of Maryland with degrees in management and computer studies. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a civil engineer. Goree remains committed to serving veterans and worked closely with Lifemoves.org, which is dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area.
