PORTLAND, Ore.--July 9, 2013, (BUSINESS WIRE)--Tripwire, Inc., a leading global provider of risk-based security and compliance management solutions, today announced that Jim Pflaging, managing director of The Chertoff Group, has joined the company’s board of directors. Pflaging’s insight into federal cybersecurity challenges as well as his experience in building and growing businesses will be valuable as the company continues to expand its leadership position in the security industry.
“We are thrilled to have Jim on our board,” said Jim Johnson, Tripwire’s chief executive officer. “His deep government experience will be a tremendous asset, particularly with the increasing focus on continuous monitoring and the new emphasis on public-private partnerships. Jim’s extensive business experience will make him an extremely valuable asset to Tripwire.”
Pflaging has more than 25 years’ experience in Silicon Valley both as a CEO of venture-backed security and data management firms as well as serving as an executive with global telecommunications providers. At The Chertoff Group, Pflaging leverages this experience to help companies navigate today’s complex national security market. While bringing forward much-needed solutions that can benefit both government and commercial organizations, Pflaging seeks innovative ways to manage today’s security concerns while also enhancing business operations.
Prior to joining The Chertoff Group, Pflaging was the director and managing principal of the SINET Group, LLC, where he assisted in the development of the advisory services business and the expansion of the SINET community.
Prior to SINET Group, Pflaging was the CEO of SenSage, a provider of cybersecurity solutions. Pflaging has also led Intraspect and Pacific Bell Network Integration (PBNI) as CEO and grew PBNI – a company he founded – across years of rapid growth.
“I am honored to join the Tripwire board and work with this exceptional team,” Pflaging said. “Tripwire is an established leader in information security, and I look forward to sharing my experiences and contributing to their future direction and growth.”
