Universal Services of America adds new member to its executive team
SANTA ANA, CA – Steve Jones, CEO of Universal Services of America, has announced the hiring of Ty Richmond in the newly created role of President of Security Systems & Technology Services and National Accounts.
"We are eager to have Ty join our leadership team at such an exciting time in our company's evolution,” said Steve Jones, CEO of Universal Services of America. “Ty comes to Universal most recently from Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he was the Senior Vice President of Global Security. He has a unique and special background, as he has held CSO and senior level executive management positions for multi-national corporate security organizations. Ty was also the COO for a major U.S. based multi-service security company that grew nearly tenfold during his tenure.”
Richmond will lead Universal Protection Service’s technology services platform and the security systems integration business as well as oversee the growing National Account uniformed security business.
"It is hard to find many security professionals with this wide range of experiences and expertise, both as a client and on the services side working directly with CSOs,” added Jones. “Ty will report to me and work closely with his peer regional presidents and the rest of our leadership team as we continue to focus on building Universal Protection Service into the premiere security service and solution provider of choice at the local and national levels.”
“I am excited to join Universal Protection Service and to head up several of their major corporate initiatives,” said Ty Richmond. “I have admired Universal as a competitor and worked with them as a client. Their focus on delivering exceptional customer service and security solutions is truly unmatched, and I look forward to being part of the Universal family and helping take the company to the next level.”
