IDIS will feature its groundbreaking 5MP 360° IDIS Super Fisheye Camera in booth #18063 at ISC West 2016 in Las Vegas. The IDIS 5MP Super Fisheye enables complete 360-degree panoramic surveillance in high-definition, to give operators comprehensive situational awareness without blind spots. A key addition to the IDIS 4K total solution, the IDIS Fisheye quickly gained industry notice following its late-2015 introduction. Shortly following its release, the IDIS Fisheye was shortlisted for a 2015 Security & Fire Excellence Award and received coveted “recommended” status in independent testing by Benchmark Magazine, the well-regarded UK-based publication dedicated to “driving innovation in the security industry.”
The IDIS Super Fisheye enables complete 360-degree panoramic surveillance in high-definition, to give operators complete situational awareness without blind spots. The camera increases security by eliminating common delays associated with panning, tilting, and zooming. Featuring dual camera- and client-side dewarping (including via mobile devices), the 5MP Super Fisheye allows operators to split the 360° view into smaller, more focused images of key areas such as entrance points and cash registers, while simultaneously retaining a panoramic view.
These innovations deliver savings, requiring fewer cameras to cover any given environment and reduce maintenance with fewer moving parts. This makes the IDIS Fisheye faster and more cost effective to install (versus the multiple cameras it replaces) and less expensive to maintain, ensuring IDIS’s promise of low total cost of ownership.

Featured in the December 2015 issue, Benchmark listed the IDIS Super Fishey (Model DC-YI513W) as a “recommended” product, noting the robust features and functionality of the IDIS Fisheye. The magazine describes products it gives a “recommended status” as those with “no obvious flaws or performance issues, [that] do not lack credibility, and have been designed for simple installation and operation.”
Benchmark specifically noted the camera’s high performance technology, stating that, “Dewarping is good.
