JVC Puts Super LoLux Technology to the Test at ASIS
WAYNE, NJ (August 29, 2012) – JVC Professional Products Company, a division of JVC Americas Corp., will put its Super LoLux HD™ technology to the test at ASIS 2012 (Booth 3925), which runs Sept. 10-13 in Philadelphia. The company will conduct a live demonstration of its low-light technology during the show, plus it will debut two new analog IR security cameras and showcase its broad IP and analog camera lineups.
At the show, a light-tight black box, equipped with IP security cameras from JVC and its competitors, will be equipped with a dimmable light control and light meter with digital readout, so attendees can control and measure the level of light (lux) inside the box. There will also be a slide window on the box so attendees can visually verify the darkness. Video outputs from the cameras will be displayed on a monitor in the booth to allow side-by-side comparisons.
“We want ASIS attendees to see JVC’s superior low-light performance for themselves,” said Masafumi Nakano, vice president, JVC Security Division. “JVC cameras are already known for their superior image quality and reliability. Our ASIS demonstration will show how superior our Super LoLux HD technology is to the competition.”
This year, JVC has released a number of new cameras, including its advanced VN-H57 Series. With indoor and outdoor models, the IP-based Super LoLux cameras deliver True Day/Night performance, with color images in light as low as 0.15 lux, plus embedded Clear Logic Video Intelligence (C.L.V.I.) image processing for superior wide dynamic performance, back light compensation, edge enhancement, and anti-fog capabilities.
The new VN-H37 Series, JVC’s intermediate line of Super LoLux HD cameras, has four models, including two true Day/Night cameras. The cameras feature a 1/3-inch CMOS imager that delivers high-resolution full HD 2.2MP at up to 30fps, with 0.15 lux sensitivity that matches the performance of JVC’s well established CCD-based cameras.
All Super LoLux HD cameras offer multi-codec support, including M-JPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264 High Profile. Other manufacturers use H.264 Baseline or Main Profile compression schemes, which do not provide the bandwidth and storage efficiencies of H.264 High Profile. The cameras also offer a variety of features, including motion detection, privacy masks, and support for ONVIF and PSIA standards as well as numerous video management software (VMS) platforms, including Milestone Xprotect.
JVC will also introduce two analog IR security cameras at the show. The TK-C2301WPRU is a vandal-proof outdoor dome that is dustproof and waterproof (IP66 compliant), while the TK-C8301RU is a box camera with integrated lens. Designed specifically for entrance surveillance, both offer JVC’s exclusive Super LoLux technology, as well as dual shutter ExDR (extended wide dynamic range), built-in IR Illumination, and True Day/Night performance. Both cameras will be available in October.
