ZKAccess, a leading provider of biometric and RFID security solutions, is pleased to announce the release of SmartLPR® - its latest access control model designed specifically for parking facilities. This state-of-the art license plate recognition (LPR) camera is designed to improve security for parking facilities while providing far greater safety and convenience for drivers.
The SmartLPR® Access camera can operate completely stand-alone. With a powerful built-in OCR engine and relay contact, the LPR camera is weatherproof and can be connected directly to the parking facility gate/barrier without the need for a separate controller or software. SmartLPR® Access is ultra-affordable and cost-effective, sets up quickly and easily, and comes with built-in I/O, TCP/IP and Wiegand ports. It also features a built-in Web server for remote access and facilitates remote lens focus and zoom adjustment and setting configuration.
User-friendly, SmartLPR® Access comes with auto-synchronize settings for multi-camera installations, and plug & play connectors so there's no need to open the camera housing. Its powerful OCR engine recognizes plates from all over the world and provides Black-listed plate notification.
"We are very pleased to bring the SmartLPR® Access solution to market," says Larry Reed, CEO, ZKAccess. "For parking facility operators, it represents a very affordable yet highly reliable added layer of physical security protection. Since any single layer of security (i.e. passwords, keys, badges, etc.) at the door or parking barrier can be breached, the optimal way to further protect business assets and personnel is by layering the security. Implementing access control technology in parking facilities makes it that much more difficult for unauthorized parties to access a targeted building, since SmartLPR® Access stops unauthorized parties before they even step outside their vehicle."
