Ability VS12112 is an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) AI motorized bullet network camera. By using Sony Starvis 2MP sensor, the camera supports high frame rate for up to 60 frames per second with an image resolution of 1920*1080.
The camera has a 5-50mm 10X lens and an IR illuminator capable of 70 meters effective range for better night visibility. The waterproof IP66 & IP67 and vandal-proof IK10 housing make the camera an ideal solution for outdoor surveillance applications under harsh environmental conditions.
Furthermore, with the embedded 4G LTE (Worldwide 4G LTE bands supported) Industrial Cellular modem with GPS module, the VS12112 camera supports all 4G bands and thus can be used at any corner in the world without physical network connection.
This cellular connectivity feature together with the build-in AI accelerator SoC ( Myriad X VPU ) make Ability’s VS12112 camera a complete and out of the box LPR application solution. The overall system cost can be effectively reduced by removing the need for cloud AI server and the external modem box.

Powered by Intel Movidius Myriad X VPU, the VS12112 AI ANPR camera is designed with cybersecurity in mind including SRTP (Video streaming encrypted), session authentication, and embedded firewall. Ability VS12112 camera can be quickly and easily deployed to support the various AI applications already available in the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO Toolkit for meeting the various application needs from different customers.
Ability VS12112 can also be powered by the optional solar power module. Together with its built-in 4G LTE modem (with GPS), VS12112 can be deployed at any place in the world where electricity and landline network are not conveniently available.
