Sans Digital has released the eight-bay USB 3.0 and eSATA Hardware RAID towers (model TR8UT+), and eight-bay USB 3.0 JBOD-Only towers (model TR8U+) — all supporting up to eight SATA hard drives and up to 24TB of total storage raw capacity. By incorporating the new USB 3.0 technology, both units are capable of reaching performance speeds five times faster than the previous models via USB connectivity. For computers not equipped with USB 3.0, end-users can still use the USB 2.0 port at a reduced data transfer speed.
