The new 2,000 square-foot office, located in building # 19 in Jebel Ali’s elegant landmark towers in Dubai’s free zone, will be home to a staff of Leviton sales, technical and administrative professionals.
The initial plan underlying Leviton’s entry into the Mid-East market is to establish growth in sales of the company’s commercial networking devices, commercial and industrial products, lighting management systems and residential structured cabling products, with the goal of beginning manufacturing in the region within a five-year time horizon. "The opening of Leviton Dubai is evidence of Leviton’s commitment to developing a presence in the Mid-East," said Daryoush Larizadeh, Leviton’s Chief Operating Officer. "Through our mix of superior technology, human capital and strategic partnerships we intend to position ourselves as an industry leader in this important region of the world."
Leviton has already established a presence in the region through participation in several high-visibility electrical and telecommunications industry trade shows, including the Gulf Information Technology Exhibit (GITEX), Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), Data Center Dynamics (DCD) trade show and the Building Industry Consulting Service International Conference (BISCI) -- all recently held in the area. In September, Leviton appointed Ramzi Nassif to the role of Managing Director. Nassif, a former sales executive with 3M Gulf, Ltd. will spearhead the company’s entry into the mid-east market. Leviton currently generates 15% of its annual revenue from its international operations, and has recently opened offices in both Europe and Asia.
