Basler expands camera production at its German headquarters

Company has doubled the size of its production area for circuit boards

Surveillance camera maker Basler had expanded camera production at its company headquarters in Ahrensburg, Germany, according to a statement issued by the company on Thursday.

The company said that it has doubled the size of its production area for circuit boards to accommodate an additional production line in the facility.

Carsten Ohrt, production manager for Basler, said that the expansion will enable the company to meet future challenges.

"With our new systems, we now have the technology in place to meet the challenges of the future and have increased our production capacity by 60 percent," Ohrt said. "Because of the superb planning and collaboration between Basler employees and our partners, the conversion and expansion processes went smoothly. We were able to integrate the new systems into our regular workflows very quickly and put them in operation promptly."
