Vista has released the Quantum Evo to follow on from the highly successful Quantum DVR with integral DVD. Enhancements include a new graphical user interface (GUI) menu structure, making the unit even easier to programme and operate.
The Quantum Evo combines many of the features characteristic of high-end DVR solutions whilst retaining a clear focus on the needs and priorities of cost-conscious installations. The addition of RS485 telemetry control direct from the front panel of the unit or from the IR remote control now allows for the control of fully functional domes. Individual camera gain adjustment compensates for cables of different length to provide a balanced overall picture without any additional equipment.
The Quantum Evo range comprises ten models with a choice of 4, 8 or 16 channel inputs, each with various hard disk capacities of up to 1TB. With its MPEG 4 compression, choice of hard disk sizes, advanced alarm and flexible recording options of up to 100ips in standard resolution or 50ips in high resolution, Quantum Evo represents a highly effective and flexible range of DVRs with the benefit of instant archive of images to the on-board DVD-R or via the USB port.
"We substantially improved the performance of the Quantum Evo range to include those features important in the current market," says Mark Pritchard, Vista divisional director. "The new unit provides installers a truly cost effective solution, without compromising on quality or functionality."
