Swann Communications, the global leader in do-it-yourself security monitoring solutions, is proud to announce their latest innovation in wireless surveillance, the ADW-300 Security Camera. Swann’s industry-leading Advanced Digital Wireless (ADW) technology improves upon older 2.4GHz analog wireless technology by transmitting a ‘point to point’ digital wireless feed from the camera to the receiver. The receiver can then be connected to a DVR, VCR or monitor for viewing and / or recording.
Swann’s ADW technology has many benefits for end-users. First, the technology provides clearer video pictures and sound than analog wireless. Secondly, the technology does not suffer interference from, nor interfere with, other wireless devices such as internet routers, cordless phones, microwave ovens and Bluetooth. Thirdly, and significantly, Swann’s ADW technology has an encrypted signal that ensures that no one else can intercept the camera’s feed which further provides privacy to the user’s home, business or family. A fourth benefit is that with almost no interference ADW video is perfect for digital video recording and more professional uses.
The first product in the Advanced Digital Wireless(ADW) range from Swann is the ADW-300 Security Camera and Receiver. The ADW-300 is a durable color camera that is capable or recording crystal clear video images during the day and automatically switches to black and white with infra-red night vision in low light situations. With a wireless transmission range of at least 160ft, this new camera is ideally suited for a variety of indoor or outdoor situations at home or in business. As with all Swann products, the ADW-300 Security Camera features easy plug and play installation.
"Digital transmission is the future of wireless security and we are proud to be leading the industry with Advanced Digital Wireless technology and the first product, the ADW-300," explains Guy Pithie, Swann Communication’s Vice President North America. "Aside from delivering improved video picture, sound and no interference, the fact that the camera’s transmission can not be intercepted by thieves and neighbors is an amazing breakthrough. Recent headlines have been filled with news of thieves intercepting analog wireless signals as means to peer into the homes and businesses of unsuspecting individuals. Its Swann’s commitment to continually offer our customers products that help them protect what is most valuable to them."
New to the market, the ADW-300 Advanced Digital Wireless Security Camera has a MSRP of $199.99 and is coming soon from Swann retail and online retailers.
