Arecont Vision's Four-Inch Dome Protects High Definition Mini-Cameras
Las Vegas, NV (September 24, 2007) – A new vandal-resistant dome being introduced by Arecont Vision at ASIS 2007 provides durable protection for their high-resolution network mini-cameras. Designed to house the entire line of 1, 2, 3 and 5 megapixel cameras, the new dome measures a compact 4 inches vertically.
"Now our complete line of megapixel mini-cameras can be used in applications where protection from harsh environments is critical," said Raul Calderon, Vice President of Business Development, Arecont Vision. "This new dome completes the solution by providing an unobtrusive profile to protect the superior performance of our megapixel cameras."
Manufactured of tough, high-impact polycarbonate, the 4 inch dome enclosure allows flexibility for wall or ceiling mounting and ensures full clear observation with excellent color sensitivity. Installation is easy and convenient and the cameras are conveniently accessible. Applications can be indoor or outdoor. Cameras housed within the enclosure can be rotated a full 360-degree horizontally and 180-degree vertically.
Images from ArecontÄ…s high definition megapixel mini-cameras can be output in full resolution in 4 x 3 format or can be scaled to 1080p or 720p and cropped to a 16 x 9 aspect. Resolution is fully controllable; it is possible to stream full resolution or scale less in order to conserve bandwidth. With support for compliant Power-over-Ethernet (POE) and auto-iris control functionality, these cameras deliver full motion progressive scan resolution and are priced comparably to standard IP cameras.
Based on Arecont VisionÄ…s proprietary massively-parallel MegaVideo technology, ArecontÄ…s fixed cameras have Ultra Forensic Zooming offering the ability to zoom after the event, up to 96X compared to standard IP cameras from high definition digital archives with simultaneous viewing of zoomed and full field of view images.
