Viakoo joins the Lyteship Group to drive best practices for security video
Las Vegas, NV (April 15, 2015) – Viakoo, a leader in video surveillance network management, announced it is joining The Lyteship Group, a physical security industry association formed by N2NSecure to provide specifications, best practices and clarity to help organizations in the transition to networked physical security technologies. Members of The Lyteship Group include physical security experts, security integrators, manufacturers of security devices and physical security management software vendors like Viakoo. The announcement was made at this year’s ISC West show.
The alliance with The Lyteship Group comes as a direct result of Viakoo’s mission and objectives, formed to meet the unique requirements of the video surveillance market. Without question security video has become mission-critical from both a safety and operational perspective. Viakoo’s solution addresses the need to eliminate video downtime, which not only creates security, safety, and legal issues, it also increasingly impacts profitability derived from analysis of the video streams.
“The Lyteship Group represents a necessary evolution as physical security becomes more interwoven with IT workflows,” said Bud Broomhead, CEO, Viakoo. “Collaboration is needed to ensure physical security maintains the highest level of threat prevention.”
“We formed The Lyteship Group because there is a need for massive improvement in how physical security should be deployed and managed in today’s enterprise,” said James Connor, President of N2N Secure. “All too often we hear of “missing video”, unstable physical access points, and other impediments to achieving security goals. By working together on a model for the whole industry, and one that can be implemented today, organizations can significantly reduce risk and lower costs.”
At ISC West, security video professionals are invited to visit Viakoo’s demo suite at Bellini Room 2001A where N2NSecure and other members of The Lyteship Group will be on hand to discuss best practices in modern physical security.
