SANTA CLARA, Calif. – June 21, 2016 -  Avaya today announced that BCDVideo’s new series of video surveillance switches, called Titan, will be powered by Avaya’s network operating system (NOS) software. Chicago-based BCDVideo is the first system integrator to adopt Avaya NOS software for private label distribution following the initial announcement of the offer last week. The software that will drive the Titan Series is based on Avaya Fabric Connect, the company’s flagship networking technology.
According to an industry report, up to 75% of video surveillance issues can be attributable to the underlying network.1 Field tested and proven to support successful video surveillance implementations, Avaya network switches deliver high quality performance, scalability and recovery for real-time, mission-critical applications.Â
With Avaya NOS now available on industry standard hardware, customers of specialized solution providers such as BCDVideo can realize benefits including network simplicity, massive scalability, enhanced performance and high security. BCDVideo’s Titan Networking Series is specifically designed for use in video surveillance deployments, an area in which Avaya NOS continues to excel. The series is covered by a five-year parts warranty and comprehensive technical support from Avaya.
“Until this point, the only option available to the video surveillance industry was expensive, complicated, and in many cases, low-performing multicast networking systems. The combined BCDVideo and Avaya solution gives our customers a simple and powerful offering at an attractive price point. The Titan Series makes shopping around for multicast networks and specialized engineers a thing of the past," said Tom Larson, director of Sales and Engineering at BCDVideo
“Albert Einstein said, ‘creativity is intelligence having fun,’ and the new Titan series switches are a perfect example of such creativity. BCDVideo teaming up with Avaya to create the Titan series switches has been fun to be a part of and has ultimately helped us win more opportunities by saving our customers money, while still delivering a top of the line network — all backed by top of the line warranty and support. We look forward to more of BCDVideo’s constant innovative approach to the surveillance marketplace," said Rob Atkinson, head of IT, Security Systems Incorporated
“BCDVideo’s introduction of its new line of switches that are powered by Avaya will enable it to deliver mission critical, always-on video surveillance systems for its customers globally. With Titan, customers can focus on protecting their organizations versus worrying about the network related issues that plague many other IP surveillance deployments," said Liam Kiely, vice president, Avaya Networking
