LONDON, May 21, 2018 – Oncam, the leading provider of 360-degree video capture and business intelligence technology, announced today the promotion of Simon Reed to Vice President of Sales, EMEA and Asia. In these dynamic regions, Reed will lead the implementation of the company's strategic vision to expand market share, propel new deployments of the company's award-winning technology, and boost strategic alliances.
In this role, Reed will collaborate with the company's regional sales directors across the UK, Europe, Turkey, APAC and South Asia, and align with other senior sales executives to streamline account acquisition. Reed’s extensive experience in building strategic alliances will help Oncam optimize growth opportunities and accelerate global go-to-market strategies. He will focus on building strategic partnerships, and driving sales for video surveillance and business intelligence solutions.
Reed joined the sales team in 2016 as the Regional Sales Director for Northern Europe from Samsung Techwin, where he served as the Retail Business Development Manager. As Business Development Manager in Retail Integrated Security Systems at GWIBS 24-7, Reed worked with retail customers to provide IT and software solutions to solve some of the industry's critical security-related challenges. He has worked with Fortune 50 companies, such as Wal-Mart, to provide project management for IT networks and POS systems during his time at Wachter, Inc. In February 2017, Reed was promoted to Oncam's Regional Sales Director, EMEA, where he was instrumental in building the brand's reach through an increased focus on training, customer support, and partner connections.
