Milestone Systems withdraws from ISC West 2020 over coronavirus concerns
PORTLAND, Ore. – March 6, 2020 – Milestone Systems, a global leader within open platform video management software (VMS), withdraws from ISC West 2020, the largest converged security industry trade show in the U.S. Due to recent developments of COVID-19 in the United States, Milestone is enacting this proactive health measure.
“We have been monitoring this situation very closely since MIPS Dallas concluded three weeks ago,” said Tim Palmquist, Vice President for the Americas at Milestone Systems. “At the closing of MIPS Dallas, we cancelled our upcoming MIPS Dubai that was scheduled for April 20 – 22. Based on the unfolding conditions in APAC and EMEA at the time, we felt this was the best decision for the benefit of all our stakeholders. Since then, we have been carefully observing the activity of COVID-19 in the United States as it relates to the upcoming ISC West event in Las Vegas. We have, at this point, concluded that we are prioritizing people over the benefits of our participation in this event. We believe that we are making the most responsible decision to withdraw from ISC West.”
Milestone Systems is considering alternative ways to share the essential information it prepared for ISC West 2020.
