Mission 500 'drives' home a winning event with a sold-out golf outing
Marlboro, NJ (October 8, 2020) – – Mission 500, a charitable non-profit organization assisting families in crisis across the USA, is proud to announce their recent successful event that brought security professionals out for a day of golf that benefited families in need as well as helped The New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation Children’s Camp support those children badly injured in fires.
The charity golf event chaired by Ken Gould and Ed Keshecki, took place in lieu of the annual softball game that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The security industry and the NYFD fire fighters came together to raise much needed funds for families and children across America. The event was sold out in the matter of 2 weeks and the outpour of support from sponsoring companies was greatly appreciated. The event hosted an outdoor luncheon where Mission 500 held an awards ceremony honoring Chris Mosley, President & CEO of Complete Security Systems and ADT for their generous contributions to children and families in need throughout the years.
“We are very fortunate to have such a giving industry to come out and support our efforts. We will be forever grateful for the support we received during a hard-economic time,” said Ken Gould, Chairman of Mission 500. “The event was completely volunteer driven. Our Northeast committee did an amazing job making sure that all precautions were met and that social distancing rules were adhered to. We truly couldn’t have done it without our volunteers.”
The event drew 144 golfers and additional lunch guests. Main sponsors for the event included: ADT and Altronix Corporation, and Napco Starlink (Gold Sponsors); Anixter (Dinner Sponsor); Axis Communications; Complete Security & Ken Gould Consulting (Silver Sponsor); Goldring Protection, NPC, Johnson Controls, Peace of Mind Technologies, Security Systems News, Statewide Monitoring, and Verkada (Birdie Sponsors); ASSA ABLOY (Hole in One Sponsor); AiN Group (Breakfast Sponsor); Statewide Monitoring (Cocktail Sponsor); Beacon Protection (Golf Cart Sponsor), ISC Events (Putting Green Sponsor), Dahua (Bag Sponsor); Smith Edwards Dunlap (Cigar Sponsor); Affiliated Morning (Care Pack Sponsor) and countless tee sponsors!
“We are proud to have partnered with the Burn Camp and have them benefit from this event,” added Ken Gould. “It was a pleasure being able to see the security industry come together again, especially for such a great cause.”
The Mission 500 golf outing raised $75,000 by the end of the event and brought a much-needed networking arena to all those involved. Mission 500 continues to push their virtual events with their M500 Club initiative for those interested in learning how to become a part of the Mission 500 family.
