Pivot3 Inc., has introduced the Pivot3 vBank Appliance, which supports more virtual servers and solid state disk drives to extend storage performance across general business applications. The appliance bundles VMware vSphere, vMotion and vCenter Server technologies to simplify management. The appliance provides both local VMware vSphere environments and scale-out storage resources across appliances. Individual appliances can be stacked to create, protect and load-balance storage as a highly reliable, high-performance IP SAN. Solid-state flash disks are also available to support latency-sensitive applications.
