    Vicon introduces ViconNet 6.5 VMS software

    As of Feb. 2, 2012, ViconNet 6.5 is now available for download from the Vicon website. This new release updates all version 6.x systems with improved performance, including better overall support for I-Onyx and 3rd party cameras used as part of a ViconNet system.

    New Features Include:

    • Official support for ONVIF-based IP cameras

    • Official support for H.264 Encoder and Surveyor HD Domes

    • Quick playback support for I-Onyx and 3rd party cameras

    • Groups support in the ViconNet web browser

    • Individual group authorization from the global Nucleus

    • Inclusion of bookmark data in archived video

    • Higher default recording quality
