ATLANTA (March 27, 2012) – U.K.-based Irisys, a global leader in thermal technology, today announced plans to introduce the latest version of its line of high-resolution thermal imaging cameras to North America.
The IRI 6300/6400 series camera represents substantial advances in resolution and performance features for thermal imaging products. Alongside a significant increase in resolution (640 X 480), IRI 6300/6400 features several key innovations, including continuous zoom, sun immunity and picture response schemes specifically constructed to integrate seamlessly with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) control systems.
“Easy integration into existing systems – such as CCTV product lines – was kept top of mind when developing the new camera,” says Andrew Rimmer, divisional director, thermal imaging for Irisys. “A durable design combined with sophisticated image manipulation features puts the camera at the top of its class.”
Customizable options, such as compact enclosure, multiple data interfaces and screw-fit lenses, make the camera ideal for systems integrators and OEMs for a wide range of applications, including:
- Security surveillance;
- Night vision for CCTV systems;
- Marine;
- Security vehicles; and
- Handheld thermal imagers.
“Offering such highly advanced features in an affordable package helps make Irisys stand apart from other technology providers in the security industry,” Rimmer says.
Along with a substantial list of upgrades not available on its predecessor, IRI 6300/6400 comes with a remote firmware updating facility, which allows upgrades to be implemented post installation.
