LINCOLNTON, N.C., September 29, 2014 — Interlogix, a leader in security and life safety solutions for residential and commercial enterprises, is now offering the new TruVision NVR 10 (TVN 10) IP-based recorder, bundled with four cameras for easy ordering and installation of video systems for small commercial operations. Interlogix is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
The TVN 10 kit, available in four- or eight-channel models, features megapixel resolution at analog-system prices without the need to deploy an expensive IT infrastructure. The unit offers an all-in-one design with a power over ethernet (PoE) switch built into the chassis and full control via front panel buttons and a mouse, or through TVRMobile software applications. The TVN 10 kit comes bundled with four IP cameras ready for immediate installation and the eight-channel model can be expanded with the purchase of additional cameras.
“This kit helps our dealer and integrator customers enter smaller commercial segments where megapixel technology was previously considered too expensive or difficult to deploy,” said Mike Chiavacci, general manager, video solutions, Interlogix and Lenel.
Also released is the TruVision DVR 12 (TVR 12), an analog digital video recorder with four-, eight- or 16-channel capabilities and utilizing H.264 video compression technology to deliver real-time recording per channel, up to 960 by 480 resolution. The recorder can also be controlled remotely via the TVRMobile smartphone/tablet app. A video kit based on the TVR 12 recorder will be available later this year.
“We’ve responded to our customers’ needs by creating kits with the most frequently requested recorder and camera configurations in a single box,” said Chiavacci. “This makes both the ordering and installation process simple and fast. Once the installer opens the box, they can have a high-quality, four-camera IP or analog system up and running in minutes.”
IFS Layer 3 switches, which deliver high-power PoE+ and 10-gigabit performance for enterprise-level video applications, are also available. The IFS switch is ideal for use in campus environments or other locations with multiple buildings requiring network segmentation in a large IP video system.
“Interlogix continues to offer innovative IP video and transmission solutions, from the smallest business installations to the largest enterprise users,” said Chiavacci.
Both the TVN 10 kit and IFS Layer 3 switches are available immediately through authorized Interlogix dealers and distributors throughout North America. The TVR 12 analog kits will be available later this year. For a demonstration of these products, visit Interlogix at ASIS 2014, booth 1311, Sept. 29–Oct. 1.
