MILWAUKEE – (September 25, 2018) -- Johnson Controls announces cloud-based storage services, centralized monitoring analytics and end-to-end, cloud-driven system management services integrated to Tyco’s exacqVision video management software and the full line of exacqVision network video recorders (NVRs). It also announces Tyco’s new Exacq G-Series range of gateway appliances.
The exacqVision G-Series is a line of cost-effective cloud gateway appliances that will deliver trusted and secure cloud solutions worldwide. The cloud services will also be integrated into the market-leading exacqVision VMS software, offering customers the flexibility to move components of their surveillance solution to the cloud, as and when their business needs dictate.
Tyco’s Exacq cloud services will be available in 140 countries through 100 regional data centers around the globe for fast performance and to support GDPR and other European data protection requirements such as video data staying within country. The platform enables video cloud storage and the management of thousands of existing camera models through its robust cloud, accessed through a new, easy-to-use exacqVision web and mobile interfaces.
Tyco’s exacqVision’s G-Series will deliver integrations with access control, analytics, intrusion and POS among other services and is backed by Johnson Controls’ enterprise cybersecurity and user privacy protection programs. One unique feature of the G-Series is patent-pending Hypervue, which offers the ability to search 24 hours of video from 100 cameras in 60 seconds, all in a single web browser. This new cloud platform is backed by 20 years of cloud surveillance engineering, an industry-leading intellectual property portfolio of more than 800 granted utility patent claims and validation by Johnson Controls’ Cyber Protection Program for secure use on the internet.
“Cloud is an undeniable force in the security industry and by offering Tyco’s Exacq G-Series, we will deliver the next generation of cloud video surveillance solutions that are simpler, more secure, and very cost-effective,” said David Grinstead, vice president and general manager, Security Products, Building Technologies & Solutions, Johnson Controls. “This new solution line was created from years of customer input to uniquely exceed our customer and partner requirements.”
"Exacq is one of the leading names in network video surveillance and has been a trusted partner to customers and integrators worldwide for more than 16 years," said Ryan Hulse, director of product management Tyco’s Exacq product line. "exacqVision made the transition from analog to IP video simple for our customers in the past and soon we will help them make the transition to cloud, securely, and step by step as needed or in one leap."
The first exacqVision cloud services include Cloud Drive video storage will be demonstrated at GSX this week and available in December 2018. All additional services and the exacqVision G-Series gateways will be available in 2019.
