ISS - Intelligent Security Systems’ new SecurOS™ FaceX ushers in the next generation of facial recognition analytics. It delivers the unique capability to accurately recognize individuals’ faces from different camera angles with a host of specific facial characteristics under various lighting conditions. FaceX is built on ISS’ recently enhanced SecurOS v.10 Video Management System (VMS) platform employing Artificial Neural Network (ANN) technology, enabling superior processing capabilities and functionality.
SecurOS™ FaceX dramatically expands the ability to identify and match faces with extreme accuracy and versatility. Most notable is that FaceX resolves longstanding challenges for facial recognition related to camera viewing angles, facial expressions and diverse lighting conditions, providing for a far greater range of identity matches and authentication. In addition, factors such as eye glasses, different haircuts, facial hair, headwear, and aging, do not impact the high degree of recognition accuracy.
SecurOS FaceX seamlessly integrates with Access Control Systems (ACS) allowing a person’s face to be their credential, creating a frictionless/hands-free access solution. The face could also be combined with other credentials (e.g. access card) for multifactor authentication.
Additional features of SecurOS FaceX include: searches by photo; anti-spoofing; integration with multiple watchlists; unlimited face recognition database size; batch import of images into face recognition databases; auto detection of redundant facial images on import; history searches; and a centrally managed, distributed and scalable architecture.
For convenience and cost savings, high-end GPU cards are not required to run the analytic, and the server CPU can perform all the neural network processes. Additionally, SecurOS FaceX includes an API that can be used to send the analytic metadata to 3rd party systems.
