    Microsemi Corporation has announced a single-port PoE extender that doubles the powering reach of its PoE midspans to 200 meters. It is the first to deliver 25.5-watt, IEEE802.3at power levels over extended distances while supporting 10/100/1000Mbps data rates. Even longer reach is possible by cascading multiple extenders.
