BREA, CA, FEBRUARY 8, 2024 -- Antaira Technologies has released its next-generation IVC-4011-T-V2 Industrial Ethernet Extender to cost-efficiently upgrade the existing xDSL-infrastructure analog cabling of up to 3937 feet (1.2 kilometers) to provide network connectivity.
Used in pairs, this simple yet powerful device increases network connectivity up to 3937 feet while delivering up to 200/100Mbps asymmetric backbone bandwidth. Combined together, these features make the IVC-4011-T-V2 an easy to use infrastructure solution to link two local area networks located in different places over long distance point-to-point LAN connection with one extender set to Master (CO mode) to link to the backbone, and the other set to Slave (CPE mode) as the long reach data receiver.
The extender is set to slave mode with its four RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports for use with IP cameras and other network devices to create a point-to-multipoint solution.
The Antaira IVC-4011-T-V2 applies an advanced switching architecture offering four RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports, along with the added flexibility of an asymmetric or symmetric Ethernet-over-VDSL connection. Depending on network requirements, either an RJ11 or BNC port can be used to leverage the VDSL2 (Very High-Bit-Rate Digital Subscriber Line 2) G.993.2 connection. This embedded port design allows for the user to create a network connection with either the existing coaxial cable or existing Twisted-pair telephone wires (AWG-24 or better) at a distance of up to 3937 feet. No software configuration is needed, so users simply attach the cables, set the CPE/CO modes and turn the power on. LED indicators show VDSL2 status, CPE/CO setting, speed and power for easy commissioning and field troubleshooting.
Ruggedly engineered for indoor and outdoor installations, the IVC-4011-T-V2 is housed in an IP30-rated metal enclosure and can handle an extreme temperature range of -40° to 167°F (-40° to 75°C), qualifying it for safe use in curbside traffic control cabinets. It also provides a high level of immunity to electromagnetic interference while supporting 6000 VDC Ethernet ESD protection, standard requirements for use in industrial plant floors and indoor security applications.
Antaira backs the new IVC-4011-T-V2 with a five-year warranty.
