Montreal, Quebec, Canada - Kaba announces the availability of its Mobile Access Solutions, which allows users to access many Kaba RFID door locks with mobile devices such as smartphones. Powered by LEGIC IDConnect technology, Kaba’s Mobile Access Solutions securely manages digital credentials so users are ensured that their information is not shared with unauthorized parties. At HITEC (Hospitality Technical Professionals conference) in June 2014, Kaba personnel demonstrated secure mobile credential deployment via a cloud-based mobile access system with a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) enabled locks. Attendees were encouraged to download the application and use their Apple iPhones (4S and above) to access either a Kaba Saflok or ILCO RFID lock.
“Kaba’s Mobile Access Solutions is a secure end-to-end mobile credential delivery system that can use both Bluetooth Low Energy and BLE key technologies,” says Alastair Cush, Kaba’s director, product marketing. “Our product emphasis is on flexible mobile credential systems that are based on tested technology and are proven to be secure and reliable.”
According to Cush, “Kaba has lead in the development and evolution of forward-looking locking and security solutions. Mobile Access Solutions are our latest innovations for streamlining and enhancing access control.” This application is ideal for opening hotel rooms, residential units, university accommodations and other protected access points such as laboratories, server rooms, remote utilities, and commercial buildings.
