February 9, 2021 – Stay safe and germ-free with STI’s new double-gang contactless stainless steel button.
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has forced the public to rethink safe living and adopt better hygienic practices. Contaminated surfaces are one of the key sources of virus transmission, making everyone increasingly cautious of touch points. Helping to adapt to this new situation, buildings are trying to minimize physical contact in an effort to reduce the risk of virus contraction.
STI announces their new double-gang NoTouch® Stainless Steel Button helps eliminate the spread of germs in hospitals, clinics, labs, cleanrooms, schools, department stores, factories, offices or any public building with high traffic areas.
To exit or enter a building without touching the door, a user must simply wave their hand in front of the touchless button. The infrared will detect the motion and unlatch the time adjustable door.
NoTouch IR switch is constructed of medical/food grade 304 stainless steel, and has a Form “C” dry contact, 0.5A @120VAC, 1A @24VDC. It has an integrated adjustable timer 0.5~20 seconds, 12-24 VDC, 45mA (maximum), dual color status LED (green/red or red/green), and a 1.5~6 inch detection range. Button is available with operating instruction options: OPEN, EXIT or a door symbol.
