Digital Identification Solutions AG has introduced the EDIsecure LCP 9000 Laser Color Personalization System, a desktop card production solution for fraud-resistant high-secure ID cards. The System integrates the advantages of high-quality XID Retransfer color printing and secure laser engraving on a single card in a one-step process, making credential forgery and manipulation all but impossible. Security features include on-demand personalization of data as micro text, CLI (Changeable Laser Image) and MLI (Multiple Laser Image), tactile effects, high resolution gradient UV printing, electronic guilloche, and IPI (Invisible Personal Information). Different encoding options, such as magnetic stripe encoding, as well as contact or contactless chip technology, can be used. To maximize card security and durability, the system can be combined with inline lamination modules for front and/or back-side lamination using the supplier's clear and secure laminates.
