Company to continue to operate independently

RF IDeas, Inc., a provider of employee badge/card readers for in-building authentication, computer access and identification, announced last week that it has been acquired by Roper Technologies, which develops software and engineered products and solutions for healthcare, transportation, food, energy, water, education and other niche markets around the globe.

In a statement, RF IDeas said that it will continue to operate independently.

"Roper, with its unique approach, long-term mindset and proven track record, is the perfect permanent home for RF IDeas," said Rick Landuyt, CEO of RF IDeas. "Our team feels incredibly fortunate to have found a partner who shares both our vision and values. Roper’s focus on helping great technology companies grow by creating even more value for their customers is exactly what we wanted and needed. While I am incredibly proud of all of our team’s accomplishments in the past, I am even more excited about our future."

RF IDeas products have leading positions in healthcare single sign-on, secure printing and other mission critical applications. Roper said that the company’s management team will remain in place and continue to lead the business from its headquarters in Rolling Meadows, Ill.Â
