Interlogix previewed Advisor to the marketplace, a new self-contained security and comfort management platform that combines advanced life safety and lifestyle functions for both home and small business use. Interlogix is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. Available later this year to security dealers and integrators, Advisor offers a color touchscreen with easy-to-use features and functionality. The solution can be easily applied to a 2,000-square-foot house or a 10,000-square-foot building, providing customization for each user's specific needs. Advisor will offer many options for security management and can be controlled locally and remotely through a large seven-inch touchscreen. End-users will be able to conveniently manage security and lifestyle needs through: dynamic, multi-language support; high zone counts, both wired and wireless; more connectivity options with broadband-ready connectivity; controls such as door locks, lights, thermostats, and electric appliances via Z-Wave protocol and utilizes Bluetooth for additional system control from Bluetooth-enabled devices; and customizable user interface.
