Adi Dar Appointed General Manager of Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Elop, Replacing Haim Rousso, Appointed Elbit Systems Executive

HAIFA, Israel , March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT) today announced that, effective April 7, 2009 , Adi Dar will become General Manager of Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Elop Ltd. ("Elop"). Dar will replace Haim Rousso , who will become Elbit Systems Ltd.'s Executive Vice President for Engineering and Technology Excellence.

Dar has served as Elop's Vice President for Business Development since 2006. Previously, he served in a number of management positions in Elbit Systems, which he joined in 2002. Prior to that, he held management positions in Elron Telesoft Ltd. and was a career officer in the Israel Defense Forces. Dar holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Technion and an MBA from Tel-Aviv University.

Haim Rousso has served in management positions at Elop for the past 36 years, and has served as General Manager since 2000. Under his leadership Elop has continued its growth as a world leading company in the area of electro-optics. Rousso holds bachelor and master of science degrees in electronic engineering from the Technion.
