Harper Chalice, a perimeter intrusion detection manufacturer based in the United Kingdom, announced its merger with fellow Vitaprotech company Hirsch. The physical security solutions provider will absorb Harper Chalice's brand and product lines to expand product range and customer support services.
With Harper Chalice's NPSA-approved perimeter security lineup, Hirsch said it now represents the UK's "most complete range of physical security solutions" in its official press release.
“This combination of our business activities and name change represents much more than a rebrand—it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter," said Adam O’Reilly, Managing Director of Hirsch in the UK. "The scale of Hirsch worldwide will allow us to accelerate our investment in products, offer local-time technical support across multiple time zones, and provide more value to our customers and a greater range of solutions for our partners to provide to the market.”
Founded in 1998 and based in Coventry, UK, Harper Chalice's technology portfolio of electronic and electrified perimeter security systems—including electric fences, infrared barriers, and microphonic fence detection—will now be sold and supported across the UK and the Americas, with expanded customer support in those regions as well as the Middle East and Europe.
“The Harper Chalice name has a long and respected history within the perimeter intrusion market here in the UK," said O’Reilly. We’ll continue our development and offer a more comprehensive and innovative range of high-security solutions to our customers."
Vitaprotech Group, a collection of security companies specializing in intrusion detection, intelligent monitoring, and access control, acquired Harper Chalice in 2023 and Hirsch in September 2024. This brand merger is the first move of many to expand the group's international business presence.
Thibaut Galland, UK COO for Vitaprotech and TDSi's Managing Director, will also serve as business leader for the combined Hirsch UK company.
"This evolution underscores our dedication to providing a complete portfolio of world-class, high-security solutions in the UK," Galland commented. "We believe that this change will put us in a stronger position for the future, leveraging our combined strengths to deliver even greater value to our clients.”
Current Harper Chalice customers will have access to all previous services, now under the Hirsch brand name, as well as an expanded range of products.
