Security Industry Association welcomes Lee Odess to SIA Board of Directors
The Security Industry Association (SIA) has named Lee Odess to serve as the newest member of the SIA Board of Directors.
Lee Odess is the CEO of The Access Control Collective (TACC), where he leads a dynamic portfolio of brands that shape how the access and smart lock industry evolves, communicates, and innovates. Through multiple channels, he extends his influence and helps businesses navigate and excel in the evolving business landscape. These channels include his active LinkedIn presence, dynamic in-person activations, the widely read Access Control Executive Brief, the weekly free The Security Breakdown newsletter, a thriving industry Slack community, ACS Events, and Ready Shoot Aim, TACC’s specialized marketing consulting division.
Odess assumes the remainder of outgoing board member Ryan Kaltenbaugh’s term, which runs until spring 2026.
“It has been my privilege to serve the security industry through my work with SIA—from chairing the Built Environment Advisory Board to co-chairing the Start Ups in Security community and contributing to the Voice of the Industry with SPARC. I am deeply honored and grateful to accept this new board position,” said Odess. “I will do my best to fill the impressive shoes of Ryan Kaltenbaugh, whose leadership has set a high standard of excellence. I’d like to express my sincere thanks to the board for their trust and confidence, and especially to CEO Don Erickson for his unwavering support and guidance. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members, the dedicated SIA staff, and industry partners as we navigate the evolving security landscape and drive meaningful innovation together.”
“SIA is proud to welcome Lee Odess to the Board of Directors, a renowned, dedicated, and successful group of advisors. I frequently refer to the SIA Board as the best ’brain trust’ in the industry and look forward to working with Lee as he begins his Board service. The SIA Board continues to help SIA drive our association and the security industry forward. Lee’s passion for the industry and impressive blend of strategic insight, innovation, and global perspective will be immensely valuable on our board,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “Ryan Kaltenbaugh has been an exceptional SIA member and board member. He has contributed in many different ways, including sharing his vision for the creation of National Security Technician DAU, and I know he will continue to be involved within SIA in ways that make the greatest impact for our members.”
