eQ-3 AG and Bird Home Automation GmbH announce strategic partnership
Thanks to DoorBird’s direct integration into the Homematic IP ecosystem, it will be even easier and more convenient for users to be able to control access to their home: The Homematic IP App sends out push notifications to smartphones at all times and to all locations, letting users know when someone is ringing at the door.
Audio and video signals are transmitted from the DoorBird door station to the Homematic IP App in real time so users can communicate directly with visitors. If required, the door can be opened with just one tap.
Security is the top priority for both partners here. All communication in both systems is only transmitted in encrypted form in accordance with the latest standards. The Homematic IP Cloud is hosted exclusively on servers in Germany and is thus subject to the highest security standards. Compliance to such standards is checked on a continual basis.
The VDE (Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies) has certified the smart home system seven times in a row in the areas of protocol, IT, and data security, to ensure fulfillment of the highest security standards.
In order to give users even more options to easily and conveniently design their smart home to their liking, eQ-3 continues to expand its Whole Home System range, which already consists of more than 150 products. The company’s proprietary product portfolio is rounded off by select partnerships.
Aside from DoorBird, compatible systems include Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Philips Hue, EZVIZ, VEKA Texino, and Ease.Cloud-to-cloud integration of DoorBird and Homematic IP will be available starting in Q4 2024.
