Camect announced executive team expansion following the achievement of two major milestones. The company recently secured integration partnerships with leading video monitoring providers CHeKT and Netwatch, and closed their seed round of venture funding. These accomplishments pave the way for customer growth and provide an opportunity to expand the leadership team.
Camect co-founder Arup Mukherjee will shift to the role of president while welcoming veteran technology leader Sean Miller to the team as CEO. “With strong sales momentum and substantial growth opportunities in front of us, Camect is positioned to disrupt the industry by affordably elevating video camera analytics for all security cameras,” says Mukherjee.
“Sean brings a wealth of experience in operational excellence and executing the critical decisions a rapidly growing start-up like Camect requires for long-term success. We are excited to have him on the team.” With Miller focused on outward growth and organizational development, Mukherjee will dedicate his expertise to accelerate innovation and product development.
Miller has a long history in the technology and security industries. He served as President of PointCentral at Alarm.com, led sales and business development at Mobile Link at Generac, WeMo at Belkin, and co-founded Griot.
“I am a problem solver. It’s in my DNA. Having worked in the security and technology industries I’ve witnessed the growing need for actionable security camera analytics. Camect is the solution to that problem. It is the only camera agnostic device in the market to successfully eliminate false alerts, as well as the fatigue and fines associated with them. It is an affordable, superior solution for all end users, dealers, integrators and monitoring stations,” says Miller. “I jumped at the chance to work with this incredibly dedicated, innovative and brilliant team.”
Camect was founded in 2018 by two former Google engineers who recognized there had to be a better way to receive and control security alerts from security video cameras.
The name Camect is the result of bringing the words Camera and Connect together, and reflects the company’s vision to eliminate useless security alerts and end alert fatigue for monitoring personnel and end customers by bringing device-agnostic, privacy-centric intelligence to security video cameras.
