A former security officer at Fort Dorchester High School was arrested Monday and accused of having sex with one student and stalking another.
Terence M. Thompson, 41, of Ladson, is charged with stalking and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, said Spencer Pryor, North Charleston police public information officer. An affidavit said Thompson was head of security for the school.
Thompson is accused of last month taking a 15-year-old girl out of class twice and once calling her to a security room, where he asked for a hug and kiss, an affidavit said. He prevented the girl from going to class on one occasion and tried to take her from class a third time, the affidavit said. In this case, Thompson is charged with stalking and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A 16-year-old girl reported that she had intercourse with Thompson on several occasions between December 2005 and March, an affidavit said. In this case, he's charged with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
North Charleston Municipal Judge Victor Revelise released Thompson on a personal recognizance bond with the conditions that he is not allowed to work around children and must stay a mile away from the girls related to the charges, Pryor said.
