LOVES PARK – July 2, 2012 – Clinton Electronics today unveiled the all new Shadow Series DVRs featuring a stand alone Linux ASIC system that has been custom designed for digital video recording. The Shadow Series represents a break through in DVR design, performance, and cost. The Shadow series supersedes the Contender Series DVR and is loaded with improved specifications such as full D1 Resolution, 1080p HDMI Monitor Output, Higher Frame Rates, H.264 Compression, and a smaller footprint with a new sleek case design.
iPhone and Android users can stay connected to their Shadow DVRs with the free CEC Connect mobile app. CEC Connect, outperforms typical DVR apps with features like multiplex view, image save, and PTZ control. Users can also search and view both live and recorded video, freeze the video, connect multiple devices to 1 DVR, and save multiple DVRs to a built in address book for quick and easy connection every time.
The Shadow series DVR includes Clinton’s full remote SMS software. With the remote SMS software the user has the ability to remotely connect and command up to 10 DVRs on one screen. Features include: remote alarm notification, eMap, pop-ups for motion, scheduled back up, remote video burning, remote configuration, firmware updates, and back up video clips to a local PC. Remote SMS also allows the user mix and match the following Clinton DVRs: Shadow Series, Contender Series, Pro Series, and even the HD Series. One remote software covers them all!
The Shadow is available in 4,8, and 16 channel versions with a standard 1TB SATA HDD or configure-to-order for more HDD storage.
