IRVINE, Calif., October 12, 2018 – Dahua Technology, a leading video surveillance solutions provider, announced today two new additions to its eco-friendly patented enhanced Power over Ethernet (ePoE) product family. The DH-IPC-HFW4239TN-ASE 2MP Fixed Bullet and the DH-IPC-HDBW4239RN-ASE 2MP Fixed Dome are the latest offerings in the industry’s most flexible line of devices, enabling extended long-range transmissions and allowing for the interchangeability of devices regardless of infrastructure.
Dahua Night Color Technology cameras use a high-performance sensor and ISP and an achromatic, large aperture lens (F1.0) to produce crisp, clear color images in low-light environments. This light-sensitive technology allows the camera to remain in Color Mode and to capture more available light to reproduce color images with superior detail and contrast in applications with at least 1 lux of ambient or artificial light. Night Color Technology cameras are recommended for applications where saturated, full-color images are produced in very low ambient light applications.
The achromatic lens coupled with a large aperture is far superior to a traditional lens used in surveillance cameras for multi-color "white-light" imaging.
The DH-IPC-HFW4239TN-ASE 2MP Fixed Bullet and the DH-IPC-HDBW4239RN-ASE 2MP Fixed Dome do not require external IR or white-light illumination, for truly covert surveillance. Night Color Technology is also an economical option, consuming 1/3 to 1/2 of the wattage required by cameras with IR illumination. Dahua’s Night Color Technology Network dome or bullet cameras incorporate back-illuminated pixel technology and a 1/2.8-inch STARVIS™ CMOS sensor to deliver crisp, clear color images suitable for identification-level monitoring.
“Our two new Night Color Technology ePoE cameras are high-performing solutions made for low-light deployments,” said Jennifer Hackenburg, Sr. Product Manager at Dahua North America. “With many very low light scenarios requiring the ability to identify the color of clothing or a vehicle, this new camera not only provides full color in very low-light, it requires no LEDs or IR cut filter, making the entire solution more cost-effective and power-saving.”
In addition to the superior low-light performance, the Night Color Technology cameras feature Dahua’s innovative enhanced Power over Ethernet technology, a plug-and-play solution that transmits power and data over long distances via Ethernet or coaxial cables. ePoE technology uses advanced modulation to transmit video, data, and power up to 800 m (2624 ft) at 10 Mbps via a single CAT5E cable or up to 1,000 m (3281 ft) via a standard RG59 coaxial cable. For video security and surveillance installers, ePoE technology saves time and money by reducing overall cabling requirements, allowing for existing coaxial cable to be used, and minimizing the number of peripheral devices needed. For new installations, ePoE offers the ability to design long-distance applications without the need for additional repeaters.
The Dahua Night Color Technology cameras offer the same advanced features as other Dahua IP cameras. The cameras feature on-board Intelligent Video System (IVS) analytics. The Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+ dual codec save on both storage and bandwidth decreasing cost of ownership and creating a more cost-effective solution. The dual codec offers versatility for customers who require backwards compatibility.
The DH-IPC-HFW4239TN-ASE 2MP Fixed Bullet and the DH-IPC-HDBW4239RN-ASE 2MP Fixed Dome include True Wide Dynamic Range and 3D Dynamic Noise Reduction for clearer images even in environments with strong lighting, glares, or shadows. With ONVIF conformance, both devices provide interoperability between network products. The on-board SD card slot stores data directly on the camera as a failsafe if the network were to go down, while the compact design’s small footprint gives integrators and end-users flexibility in installation.
